Open Trails in the Columbia River Gorge

Hi, friends! We know you are all anxious to get back to your adventurous outings in the Columbia River Gorge after the fires last month. We’ve received so many well wishes and can definitely relate to the worries and unknowns. The truth is, yes, the fires did noticable damage to this pristine place we call home. But we can promise you that the beauty that we all know and love is still here and is in full force.

The bad news is, there are a few hiking trails that remain closed. But the good news is, the amount of activities you can still do around here is in abundance!

Thanks to Friends of the Columbia Gorge, a list of open trails and recreational areas is available on their website.

If you haven’t visited their site, do it now! They have done a wonderful job relaying helpful information and posting opportunities on ways to preserve the land and how to give back to the Gorge.

We’ve also included their suggestions below:

NOTE: Names with an asterisk * designates places outside of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area.
